Biografie

Capital Inicial ist eine brasilianische Rockband, die 1982 in der Stadt Brasília gegründet wurde. Die Band entstand aus der Asche von Aborto Elétrico, einer Gruppe, die auch Renato Russo hervorbrachte, den Gründer von Legião Urbana. Die Brüder Fê Lemos (Schlagzeug) und Flávio Lemos (Bass) bildeten zusammen mit dem Gitarristen Loro Jones und dem Sänger Dinho Ouro Preto Capital Inicial und behielten dabei einen Sound bei, der von Post-Punk und New Wave beeinflusst war.

Im Laufe ihrer Karriere veröffentlichte Capital Inicial zahlreiche erfolgreiche Alben wie „Capital Inicial“ (1986), „Independência“ (1987) und „Acústico MTV: Capital Inicial“ (2000), das eine neue Phase für die Band einläutete und sich über eine Million Mal verkaufte. Mit Hits wie „Primeiros Erros (Chove)“, „À Sua Maneira“, „Natasha“ und „Música Urbana“ etablierte sich die Band als einer der größten Namen des nationalen Rock, beeinflusste Generationen und behielt eine solide Fangemeinde. Die aktuelle Besetzung besteht aus Dinho Ouro Preto als Sänger, Fê Lemos am Schlagzeug, Flávio Lemos am Bass und Yves Passarell an der Gitarre.
