Biography

3030 is a Brazilian rap group founded in 2008 by rappers Rod, LK, and Bruno Chelles. The project had its official start in 2009 in Arraial d'Ajuda, and the group's name came as a humorous reference to a local pizzeria that the members used to call after smoking marijuana. The collective's sound stands out for its striking fusion of hip hop, MPB, samba, and jazz, creating a rich and diverse musical identity.

Throughout their career, the group has stood out on the national scene for refusing themes common to the genre such as ostentation and female sexual objectification, seeking inspiration from international rap names while building an original and conscious body of work. In 2014, they achieved international projection when their song "O berço" was included in the soundtrack of the film Trash, a production that featured renowned actors such as Wagner Moura and Selton Mello.

The group consolidated its relevance in 2018 with the release of the album "Alquimia", considered the most conceptual and mature work of their career. The record explored spiritual, transformative themes with a strong sociopolitical stance, featuring major contributions from Brazilian music such as Emicida, Arthur Verocai, and MV Bill. Through these partnerships and their constant sonic innovation, 3030 has established its name among the exponents of the more melodic and reflective branch of national rap.
