Biography

The group A Três is a female musical formation that emerged in São Paulo in 1989. Composed of Leni Requena, Solange Codonho, and Cibele Codonho, the trio stands out for the harmony of their three voices and their skill in playing instruments such as afoxé, acoustic guitar, and timba. The name "A Três" reflects the essence of the group: three women, three voices, and three instruments, coming together to interpret rich Brazilian popular music.

Since its founding, A Três has dedicated itself to a repertoire that reveres Bossa Nova and other genres of MPB. The group has already represented Brazil in international festivals, such as the popular music festival in Gifu, Japan, in 1996. Throughout its career, A Três has also collaborated with other renowned artists, such as Milton Nascimento, participating in the "Crooner" show in 1999, and has performed in important cultural projects, such as "Som da Sexta" and the "A Tradição do Grupo Vocal" concert with the Tom Jobim Orchestra.

With a trajectory marked by musical quality and a passion for Brazilian music, A Três continues to enchant audiences with its performances. Its work, which celebrates bossa nova and the diversity of MPB, solidifies the group as an important name in the country's musical scene, keeping alive the tradition and sophistication that characterize these genres.
