Biography

A Turma da Pilantragem was a Brazilian musical group created in 1968 by Nonato Buzar, part of the cultural movement known as Pilantragem in the late 1960s. The initial project featured artists such as Pedrinho Rodrigues, Cassiano, Edinho Trindade, Nelsinho da Mangueira, Alda Regina, and Regininha, releasing a self-titled album that same year.

In 1969, the group underwent a significant lineup change, incorporating new musicians and integrating names such as José Roberto Bertrami, Alex Malheiros, Vitor Manga, Fredera, Márcio Montarroyos, Ion, Raul de Souza, Tartaruguinha, Dorinha Tapajós, and Málu Ballona. With this new configuration, they recorded a second self-titled LP and the album "A Turma da Pilantragem Internacional".

The group's journey ended with its definitive dissolution in 1970. The musical style and members of the project share a strong connection with sounds like sambalanço and the work of artists such as Wilson Simonal and Carlos Imperial.
