Biography

Adriano Campagnani is a highly respected Brazilian bass player, composer, and arranger, born on March 30, 1976, in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. With nearly three decades dedicated to the electric bass, Campagnani has established himself as one of the foremost instrumentalists in Brazil.

His musical journey began in a home filled with amateur musicians, but it was at the age of twelve that he first encountered the bass guitar, sparking a lifelong passion. This dedication led him to specialize in the instrument, and over his extensive career, he has contributed to hundreds of recordings and performed with a vast array of prominent artists across various genres, including MPB, pop, rock, and jazz. He has collaborated with notable figures such as Beto Guedes, Flávio Venturini, Kid Abelha, Jota Quest, George Israel, Wilson Sideral, Marku Ribas, Juarez Moreira, and Chico Amaral, among many others.

As a solo artist, Campagnani has released several instrumental albums and a live DVD, showcasing his compositional talent and unique sonic identity. He has also been involved in projects like the Weather Report Tribute and the Lizards Trio. His work often pays homage to the rich musical heritage of Minas Gerais, particularly the influential Clube da Esquina movement. Campagnani continues to be an active force in the music scene, balancing his solo career with touring, musical direction, arranging, workshops, and preparing new releases, including his album "Cosmopolitan."
