Alain Pierre, born in Paris on December 5, 1954, is a multifaceted Brazilian musician, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, conductor, composer, singer, producer, and musical researcher. With a rich background spanning both classical and popular music traditions, he established himself as a prominent figure in the Brazilian music scene through his diverse collaborations and scholarly pursuits. His work reflects a deep engagement with the history and techniques of Brazilian acoustic music, encompassing both performance and academic research.

Throughout his career, he has been associated with notable groups and artists, notably playing in the progressive and acoustic band A Barca do Sol during the 1970s, which also featured musicians like Denise Emmer. His deep dedication to musical scholarship led him to complete a master's degree in Historical Musicology in the year 2000, focusing his thesis on the discography and artistic profile of the legendary guitarist Baden Powell. This academic achievement further resulted in the publication of a dedicated sheet music book celebrating Baden Powell's repertoire.

In 2012, Alain Pierre released his debut self-authored album titled Sementes through Mills Records, following approval in a public competition held by the Municipal Secretariat of Culture of Rio de Janeiro. Beyond his solo recordings, his extensive discography includes collaborations with artists such as Denise Emmer and the Conjunto de Música Antiga da UFF.
