Alberto Chimelli is a Brazilian pianist, keyboardist, arranger, and composer, born in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, on March 5, 1953. He began his artistic career in 1974, participating in music festivals. His talent quickly gained recognition, leading him to accompany the legendary Vinicius de Moraes on European tours in 1979. Chimelli has also performed at major events like the Free Jazz Festival, sharing the stage with renowned musicians such as Maurício Einhorn, Nivaldo Ornelas, and Luizão Maia.

Throughout his extensive career, Chimelli has collaborated with a wide array of prominent Brazilian artists. His work as an instrumentalist and arranger can be heard alongside names like Leila Pinheiro, Elizeth Cardoso, Fafá de Belém, Leny Andrade, Lúcio Alves, Hélio Delmiro, Pascoal Meirelles, and Vitor Assis Brasil. He has also co-written compositions with notable figures such as Johnny Alf, Fernando Leporace, Maurício Einhorn, and Ivor Lancellotti, further cementing his contribution to Brazilian music.
