Alessandro Valente Vieira, known professionally as Alessandro Valente, is a Brazilian musician, composer, and arranger, born in Rio de Janeiro in 1969. He is a highly respected cavaquinista, having graduated in music from the Universidade do Rio de Janeiro (Uni-Rio). His career has seen him collaborate with numerous prominent artists and groups within the Brazilian music scene.

Valente has been an integral part of various musical ensembles, including the group of singer-songwriter Osvaldo Pereira, the Companhia Carioca Urubu Malandro, Rabo de Lagartixa, and the Quarteto de Câmara Popular. With these groups, he has released albums and performed extensively across Brazil. His versatility is further showcased by his participation in musical theater, such as "Metralha" and "Chico Viola," and his work with the Orquestra de Cordas Brasileiras.
