Alexandre Barbosa Cohen, known professionally as Alex Cohen, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, guitarist, and keyboardist born in Rio de Janeiro. Developing a passion for music in his adolescence inspired by icons like Roberto Carlos, he taught himself to play various instruments and began performing in local bars before establishing himself on major national stages.

Throughout his career, Cohen has released notable albums such as his 2003 debut live record produced by Ricardo Feghali of Roupa Nova, as well as his 2005 album Declaração produced by Michael Sullivan. He has also contributed to popular collaborative projects like Um Barzinho, Um Violão alongside artists such as Zélia Duncan, Zé Ramalho, and Ivete Sangalo. Known for his energetic stage presence and versatile repertoire spanning pop, rock, and romantic ballads, Cohen has performed internationally and at high-profile domestic events, including Copacabana New Year's celebrations.
