Biography

Alice Malaguti Caymmi was born in Rio de Janeiro on March 17, 1990, hailing from one of the most traditional families in Brazilian music. She is the granddaughter of Dorival Caymmi, the daughter of Danilo and Simone Caymmi, and the niece of Nana and Dori Caymmi. Before dedicating herself entirely to music, she studied law and performing arts, having recorded her first song as a teenager for an album by her aunt.

Her recording career began professionally in 2012 with the release of her self-titled debut album through Sony Music. In the following years, she consolidated her artistic versatility with projects such as the acclaimed Rainha dos Raios (2014), the pop record Alice (2018) — which featured prominent collaborations with Ana Carolina and Pabllo Vittar —, and the minimalist Electra (2019), accompanied solely by piano.

Her discography continued to expand with albums like Imaculada (2021) and the tribute Caymmi (2026), reaffirming her prominent place in the contemporary scene. Throughout her career, Alice has collaborated with various artists and traversed different sounds, keeping her family's legacy alive while building a striking personal identity.
