Biography

Alysson is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, born in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. His music moves between MPB and Afro-Minas rhythms, exploring similarities with genres such as baião, xote, ijexás, and afoxés. His lyrics address themes such as ancestry, self-knowledge, faith, and the passage of time, seeking to create a signature sound that he calls "Uaifrobeat".

The artist began his musical career more prominently in 2019, with the release of works that already demonstrated this fusion of influences. In 2023, he released the singles "Putariando" and "Kitnet", and in 2024, he presented "São Jorge Ogum", a song that also marked the change of his stage name to Alysson, following spiritual guidance. He has collaborated with producers such as Fejuca and Ricardo Gama, who have worked with renowned artists like Liniker, Emicida, and Milton Nascimento.

Alysson also stands out for his connection to spirituality, which permeates his work and influenced him in adopting his stage name. His music is marked by a "swing and movement" that reflects this lived experience. He seeks to build a legacy through his songs, translating his experiences and reflections into sound and words. In 2026, he was announced as a new member of the band Garota Safada, under the stage name Alysson Cantor, marking a new phase in his career in forró.
