Biography

Amanda Netto Acosta is a Brazilian singer and actress who began her artistic journey at a very young age, performing on Raul Gil's television program when she was just four years old. After appearing in various commercials and forming a short-lived family musical group with her sisters and cousins, she achieved widespread fame in 1988 by joining the popular children's music group Trem da Alegria, created by Michael Sullivan and Paulo Massadas. During her tenure with the group, which lasted until its dissolution in 1992, she contributed to multiple gold and platinum records and collaborated with prominent figures such as Xuxa.

Transitioning from her early pop success into a multifaceted career in television, music, and theater, Amanda expanded her artistic repertoire significantly over the decades. She took on acting roles in telenovelas such as Rede Globo's O Mapa da Mina and SBT's Chiquititas, and also showcased her versatility by hosting the educational TV Cultura program Inglês com Música between 2010 and 2012.

Her theatrical career reached a major milestone in 2018 when she portrayed the legendary actress and singer Bibi Ferreira in the acclaimed musical Bibi – Uma Vida em Musical. Directed by Tadeu Aguiar, the production was celebrated by critics as one of the finest musicals in recent memory and earned Amanda virtually every major best actress award in Brazilian theater for that year.
