Biography

Ana Flávia Castela, widely known as Ana Castela or by the nickname Boiadeira, was born in Amambai, Mato Grosso do Sul, in 2003, and grew up in the city of Sete Quedas, on the border with Paraguay. The artist emerged on the musical scene in 2021 with the release of her debut single "Boiadeira", in partnership with Us Agroboy, gaining great national projection the following year with the hit "Pipoco", recorded alongside Melody and DJ Chris no Beat. With a low-timbre voice and contralto range, she quickly established herself as one of the main voices and disseminators of agronejo, a modern offshoot of sertanejo music associated with contemporary rural culture.

Throughout her career, the singer expanded her discography with highly acclaimed projects, including the live album Boiadeira Internacional — a work that earned her the Latin Grammy in 2024 — and prominent partnerships with artists like Alok, Hungria Hip Hop, and Gustavo Mioto. Her unique style moves between sertanejo universitário, country pop, and influences from urban genres, reflecting the sonic plurality of Generation Z in Brazilian music. In addition to her strong presence on streaming platforms and leadership on hit charts like Billboard Brasil, Castela maintains a career marked by visual innovations and insertions into national pop culture.
