Biography

André Frateschi is a Brazilian actor, singer, musician, and multi-instrumentalist born in São Paulo, the son of renowned actors Denise del Vecchio and Celso Frateschi. He began his artistic journey on theater stages at age 24, participating in prominent productions such as the adaptation of Feliz Ano Velho, and later expanding his acting to Rede Globo telenovelas and miniseries. Over the years, he consolidated his career in music and musical theater, starring in productions like Canções para Cortar os Pulsos alongside singer Cida Moreira.

In music, Frateschi began his career in 1991 as the lead singer of the band Heroes, paying tribute to David Bowie, a project he maintained for many years in São Paulo music venues. In partnership with Miranda Kassin, to whom he has been married since 2006, he released the album Hits do Underground and performed at the SWU festival in 2011, in addition to releasing his own solo album Maximalista in 2014. His national profile increased significantly in 2015 when he was invited to take over the vocals for the 30th-anniversary commemorative tour of the band Legião Urbana, alongside original members Dado Villa-Lobos and Marcelo Bonfá.

In addition to his work with Legião Urbana, Frateschi won Rede Globo's show Popstar in 2017 and launched the BRock is Back tour, celebrating Brazilian rock. He continued to tour with Dado Villa-Lobos and Marcelo Bonfá on tours like "As V Estações", remaining active in the Brazilian music and television scene. His artistic versatility has solidified him as an important figure in both acting and the interpretation of major classics of national and international rock.
