Biography
André Renato de Oliveira was born in Rio de Janeiro on August 28, 1974. He is the son of the musician Sereno, a renowned member of the group Fundo de Quintal, which from an early age brought him close to the universe of samba and pagode. Throughout his career, he has established himself as a prolific songwriter, accumulating over 500 original works recorded by various interpreters of Brazilian music.
His professional career received a major boost in 1993 when he was signed by the publisher Warner Chappell. From that moment on, he began collaborating closely with important names in the music scene, recording and composing alongside artists such as Arlindo Cruz, Almir Guineto, and Leci Brandão.
In addition to his work as a prominent songwriter, André Renato also actively worked as an instrumentalist and was a member of the group Do Jeito Q’eu Gosto during the 1990s. With the band, he released albums of significance to the pagode of that era, such as the self-titled album from 1995 and subsequent hits.
