Biography

Angélica Ksyvickis Huck, professionally known as Angélica, is a Brazilian television host, actress, and singer who left her mark on television and children's and teenage pop music in Brazil. Born in Santo André, São Paulo, on November 30, 1973, she began her career in childhood by participating in beauty pageants and commercials. Her rise in the media occurred after winning the "Criança Mais Bonita do Brasil" contest for two consecutive years on the show "A Buzina do Chacrinha".

Her musical career began to take shape in the 1980s with the release of her debut album "Angélica" in 1988, which featured the major hit "Vou de Táxi", a cover of the song "Joe le taxi" by Vanessa Paradis. Throughout the 1990s, Angélica released several successful albums, such as "Angélica" (1990), "Angélica" (1991), "Meu Jeito de Ser" (1993), and "Angélica" (1994), exploring genres such as pop, romantic, and dance rhythms, establishing herself as an idol for young audiences. Her discography includes more than a dozen studio albums, as well as compilation albums and singles that sold millions of copies.

Alongside her musical career, Angélica built a solid trajectory on television, hosting high-rated children's programs such as "Clube da Criança" on TV Manchete, "Casa da Angélica" and "Passa ou Repassa" on SBT, and later "Angel Mix" and "Vídeo Game" on Rede Globo.
