Biography

Ângelo Máximo, born in Goiânia, Goiás, is a prominent Brazilian singer known for his success during the 1970s. After moving to São Paulo in his youth, he initially worked in a hair salon before breaking into the entertainment industry through appearances on popular talent shows, most notably Silvio Santos's Show de Calouros. He quickly rose to fame with massive record sales, earning multiple gold records and dominating radio charts with hits like "Domingo Feliz", "A Primeira Namorada", and "Vem Me Fazer Feliz".

Deeply inspired by Elvis Presley, Ângelo incorporated the rock icon's style into his own image, adopting characteristic 1970s sideburns and flamboyant jumpsuits that became his trademark on stage. Throughout his career, he expanded his reach beyond Brazil, performing international tours in countries such as the United States and Canada, in addition to acting in fotonovelas. Alongside his enduring musical trajectory, he has ventured into entrepreneurship as a restaurateur in São Paulo.

Today, Ângelo Máximo continues to perform regularly on television programs and concert stages across Brazil, maintaining a loyal fanbase from the golden era of romantic pop and Jovem Guarda-adjacent styles. His musical journey parallels the broader landscape of Brazilian romantic balladeers and pop artists of his era, sharing cultural roots with contemporaries like Ronnie Von and Wanderley Cardoso.
