Antônio Rodrigo Correia Nogueira, globally known as Minotauro, is a retired Brazilian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, born in Vitória da Conquista, Bahia, on June 2, 1976. He is considered one of the greatest representatives of Brazilian MMA, with a notable career that includes titles such as UFC interim heavyweight champion and PRIDE champion. His resilience and ability to overcome adversity, even after severe injuries, earned him comparisons to the Phoenix, the mythological bird that rises from the ashes.

Minotauro began his professional MMA journey in 1999 and quickly stood out for his refined jiu-jitsu technique and his grit in tough fights. He faced and defeated some of the biggest names in the sport, demonstrating a remarkable ability to turn fights around and recover from strikes that would leave other athletes out of commission. His career is marked by epic moments, such as submitting Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic in Pride and winning belts in world-renowned events.

After ending his career as a fighter, Minotauro remained active in the martial arts universe, working as a UFC ambassador and inspiring new generations.
