Aricia Mess is a Brazilian popular music singer known for her striking theatrical presence and eclectic musical style that weaves together MPB, pop, and jazz. Born in Niterói and later based in São Paulo, she emerged as a vocalist on the vibrant Rio de Janeiro music scene during the 1990s. Throughout her career, she has collaborated and shared stages with notable artists such as Pedro Luís, Suely Mesquita, Marcos Sacramento, and the group Boato.

Her work is characterized by a distinctive fusion of global black music traditions with Afro-Brazilian rhythms, establishing her as an artist of remarkable originality who helped pioneer the independent music scene in Brazil. Despite earning high praise from prominent Brazilian music critics, her innovative sound has often defied conventional market categorization.
