Arlindo Ferreira was a prominent Brazilian guitarist and composer, born in Sete Lagoas, Minas Gerais, on November 22, 1916. He began his musical journey at a young age, mastering the guitar and soon establishing himself as a respected instrumentalist within the Brazilian music scene.

Ferreira's career was marked by his significant contributions as a sideman, accompanying numerous renowned singers. He was a key member of influential instrumental groups, most notably the Regional de Claudionor Cruz and Rogério Guimarães's group, known as Grupo do Canhoto, where he performed for over a decade. Despite his extensive work accompanying others, Ferreira released only one solo album, "Bola Sete no Choro," in collaboration with Bola Sete, a fellow musician and composer. This album showcased his skill and improvisational talent, cementing his reputation as a masterful guitarist.

Throughout his career, Arlindo Ferreira was recognized for his technical proficiency and his deep understanding of Brazilian musical styles, particularly choro. He retired from his artistic activities in 1974, leaving behind a legacy as a dedicated musician who enriched the landscape of Brazilian popular music through his instrumental prowess and collaborations.
