Arnaldo Antunes is a pivotal figure in contemporary Brazilian music, renowned for his multifaceted career as a singer, composer, poet, and visual artist. He first rose to national prominence in the 1980s as a founding member and primary songwriter of the iconic rock band Titãs. His departure from the group in 1992 marked the beginning of a prolific solo career characterized by an avant-garde approach, deeply influenced by concrete poetry and post-modernist aesthetics. This experimental spirit was evident in his debut solo project, Nome (1993), which merged music, literature, and visual art.\n\nThroughout the decades, Antunes has balanced his solo output with high-profile collaborations, most notably as one-third of the supergroup Tribalistas alongside Marisa Monte and Carlinhos Brown. The trio's 2002 self-titled album became a global phenomenon, winning a Latin Grammy and selling millions of copies.
