Biography

Robson Adorno, known artistically as Robyssão, is a prominent figure in the Brazilian pagode and pagofunk scenes. He began his musical journey approximately eight years prior to 2013, initially singing MPB in small venues before transitioning to an axé music band. In January 2013, Robyssão departed from the band Black Style, where he had been the vocalist since 2006, to launch his solo project, "Bailão do Robyssão." This new venture allowed him to further develop his unique musical style.

Robyssão is recognized as a pioneer of pagofunk, a genre that ingeniously fuses elements of funk carioca with pagode baiano, creating an infectious and highly danceable rhythm. His music often features provocative lyrics and energetic beats, making it a staple in parties and sound systems across Brazil, particularly in the Northeast. He has released numerous albums and singles, including "Armageddon" (2014), "Verão 2016" (2016), and "Toma Toma" (2019), solidifying his presence in the music industry.

Beyond his musical career, Robyssão has also been a subject of public attention, including legal matters related to copyright. Despite these challenges, his influence on the pagofunk genre remains undeniable. He continues to perform and release new music, engaging his fanbase with the distinctive sound that has characterized his career.
