Banda Batidão emerged in the Brazilian music scene, particularly in the state of Pará, as a significant force in the tecnomelody genre. The band was instrumental in popularizing this energetic fusion of electronic music and regional rhythms, which became a staple of the vibrant sound system parties (aparelhagens) in the Amazonian region.

Founded in 2009, Banda Batidão quickly gained traction with its distinctive sound, characterized by infectious beats and catchy melodies. The band's success led to the release of several albums, including "Banda Batidão Vol. 1" (2007), "Vol. 2" (2008), and "Vol. 3" (2012), solidifying their presence in the market. Their music often featured themes of love and celebration, resonating with a wide audience.

While the band achieved considerable fame, its most recognized vocalist, Manu Bahtidão, eventually embarked on a successful solo career in 2015.
