Biography

Formed in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Espírito Santo, Banda Giom emerged in the late 1990s, initially as Vocal Asafe, before adopting their current name, which is inspired by one of the four rivers of Eden, symbolizing "turbulences of the waters." The band is primarily composed of the Freire brothers: Anderson, Adelso, Adilson, and Dirceu. Their music is deeply rooted in Christian faith, with lyrics often conveying messages of hope, overcoming challenges, and spiritual devotion.

Banda Giom gained significant recognition after signing with MK Music in 2007, releasing their debut album "Futuro" in 2008. This was followed by "Coroa de Justiça" in 2010 and "Novo Conceito, Nova Unção" in 2012. The band is known for its pop sound, often featuring strong vocal harmonies and compositions penned by the members themselves. Anderson Freire, a prominent member, eventually launched a successful solo career, which led to his departure from the band, though he has collaborated with them on occasion. Deddy Coutinho later joined the band, contributing to their sound and continuing their musical journey.

The band's discography showcases their evolution and consistent message of faith.
