Biography

Banda Isca de Polícia was formed in 1979 by Itamar Assumpção to accompany him on records and shows. Together, they recorded several albums and participated in the works of other artists. The band has also performed in important musical projects both in Brazil and abroad, touring countries such as Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and the Netherlands.

After Assumpção's death in 2003, Isca de Polícia continued to perform, keeping his musical legacy alive. The band's current lineup includes Paulo Lepetit (bass and musical direction), Marco da Costa (drums), Jean Trad and Luiz Chagas (guitars), and vocalists Suzana Salles and Vange Milliet. They have released their own original material, such as the album "Isca – Volume 1," featuring compositions by various artists including Arnaldo Antunes, Arrigo Barnabé, and Zeca Baleiro. The band is recognized for its role in the Vanguarda Paulista movement, a significant artistic scene in São Paulo during the 1980s.
