Biography

Formed in São Paulo in 2010, Pollo emerged as a prominent Brazilian rap group, quickly gaining national recognition. The band consists of MCs Luiz Tomim and Adriel de Menezes, later joined by DJ Kalfani, who is also the son of KL Jay from the iconic Racionais MC's.

Pollo's breakthrough came with their hit single "Vagalumes" (Fireflies), featuring Ivo Mozart. This song achieved massive success, topping charts and becoming one of the most played tracks on Brazilian radio in 2013. It was also featured on the soundtrack of the Rede Globo telenovela "Sangue Bom." The success of "Vagalumes" led to the release of their debut album, "Vim Pra Dominar o Mundo," which was made available for free download on iTunes.

Throughout their career, Pollo has released several albums, including "777" and "Supra-Sumo, Pt. I," and collaborated with various artists such as MC Pedrinho and Jammil e Uma Noites. Despite a brief period of uncertainty in 2013 regarding their disbandment, the group has continued to produce music, blending elements of pop, hip-hop, and rap, and maintaining a strong connection with their fanbase through social media and live performances.
