Biography

Bandaliera is a rock band formed in Porto Alegre, Brazil, in 1982. The group originated in the IAPI neighborhood through the compositions and encouragement of Fughetti Luz, who had previously been a member of influential groups like Liverpool and Bixo da Seda. Their initial lineup featured Alemão Ronaldo on vocals, Fábio Ly on drums, João Guedes on bass, and Tavinho Fumagalli and Gabriel Guedes on guitars, with future notable musicians such as Duca Leindecker also passing through early iterations.

Throughout their career, Bandaliera released six albums and established themselves as a prominent name in the rock gaúcho movement. Signature tracks like "Campo Minado" and "Nosso Lado Animal" became regional classics, while their 1991 live album marked a notable milestone in the local scene. The band briefly disbanded in 2004 when Alemão Ronaldo pursued a solo career, leading other members to form Automóvel Verde, before reuniting decades later in 2022 to celebrate their 40th anniversary.
