Bebeto di São João, stage name of Roberto Tadeu de Souza, is a renowned Brazilian singer and songwriter, born in São Paulo on September 7, 1947. Known as the "King of Samba-Rock", "King of Swing", and "King of Balls", Bebeto is one of the pioneers and great promoters of the samba-rock genre in Brazil, alongside names like Jorge Ben Jor and Tim Maia. His musical career spans decades, with a vast discography that includes hits that have enlivened generations.

His musical journey began in the 1970s, when he started to stand out in the Rio de Janeiro music scene, being one of the popularizers of "sambalanço" at dances. Bebeto is the author of numerous hit songs, such as "A beleza é você menina", "Salve ela", "Praia e sol", "Minha preta", "Menina Carolina", and "Jéssica", which became classics of the genre. His music, marked by swing and the mixture of samba with elements of soul, funk, and rock, won over the public and consolidated his artistic identity.

Throughout his career, Bebeto has released over 38 albums and participated in various recordings with other renowned artists, such as Elza Soares, Jair Rodrigues, Beth Carvalho, Zeca Pagodinho, and the group Fundo de Quintal.
