Biography

Bem Giordano Gil Moreira, born on January 13, 1985, in Rio de Janeiro, is a prominent Brazilian composer, singer, arranger, music producer, and multi-instrumentalist. He is the son of the legendary Gilberto Gil and producer Flora Gil, and comes from a rich musical lineage, being brother to musician José Gil and half-brother to singers Preta Gil and Nara Gil. His musical journey began at a young age, deeply influenced by his family's artistic environment. He has been a part of his father's band since 2003, officially joining in 2006, and has since performed internationally across Europe, the United States, and Japan.

Gil has established himself as a versatile artist, contributing to various musical projects. In 2007, he co-founded the band Tono, which released their album "Tono" in 2010, featuring several of his compositions. He also formed BandaDois with his father and brother, releasing a CD/DVD in 2009. His work as a producer includes Gilberto Gil's 2018 album "OK, OK, OK," where he collaborated with Bruno Di Lullo and Domenico Lancellotti to bring his father's musical ideas to life.

Beyond his own projects, Bem Gil is a sought-after collaborator and performer. He has shared stages with notable Brazilian artists such as his father Gilberto Gil and Jaques Morelenbaum.
