Biography

Berg Rabelo is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist widely recognized for his prominent role in the electronic forró genre. Born Zildemberg de Sousa Rabelo in Pacoti, Ceará, he began his musical journey at the age of 15, performing with early groups like Forró Chapéu de Palha and Forró Sirigüella before gaining wider prominence as a vocalist for Caviar com Rapadura and later joining the renowned band Calcinha Preta. Throughout his career, he has also been associated with projects such as Gatinha Manhosa and founded Forró Anjo Azul, establishing himself as a significant figure in northeastern popular music alongside contemporaries like Silvânia Aquino.

After taking a hiatus from his musical activities in 2012, Rabelo returned to the stage as a solo artist, eventually releasing projects like the albums Forronejo and Versões. His career has also been marked by reunions and ongoing collaborations with Calcinha Preta, as well as new ventures under the management of Camarote Shows. Alongside artists such as Wesley Safadão and Taty Girl within the broader forró and sertanejo circuits, Rabelo continues to perform and record, notably partnering with Silvânia Aquino in the collaborative project Silvânia & Berg.
