Biography
Bernardo Bosisio is a renowned Brazilian guitarist and acoustic guitarist, with a consolidated career in instrumental and popular music. He began his musical studies at the age of six and, at nineteen, moved to Boston to study at the Berklee College of Music, where he received the Stephen D. Holland Award. Upon returning to Brazil in 1999, Bosisio began his professional life, collaborating with prominent musicians such as Nico Assumpção, Paulo Moura, Marcio Montarroyos, and Leo Gandelman, with whom he recorded CDs and a DVD, in addition to performing at the prestigious Blue Note in New York.
Throughout his career, Bernardo Bosisio has worked with a vast range of renowned artists, including Leila Pinheiro, Baby do Brasil, Simone, Bebel Gilberto, Moska, Virginia Rodrigues, Vitor Ramil, Emilio Santiago, Jorge Vercilo, Arthur Verocai, Marcos Valle, and Eumir Deodato. His versatility led him to participate in diverse projects, such as the group Pagode Jazz Sardinha's Club, whose album "Sardinhas" won the TIM Award for best instrumental album in 2004, and the group Paraphernalia, founded with bassist Alberto Continentino, which was acclaimed as "one of the best instrumental groups of the moment" by the newspaper "O Globo".
Bosisio has also stood out in projects that explore the fusion of genres and the interpretation of Brazilian music classics. Alongside BNegão, he presented the project "Canções Praieiras", interpreting works by Dorival Caymmi, demonstrating his ability to move between jazz, bossa nova, and MPB. His work on national and international stages, as well as in recordings with artists of different styles, solidifies Bernardo Bosisio as one of the important names of the guitar and acoustic guitar in contemporary Brazilian music.
