Bernardo Torres de Vilhena is a renowned Brazilian poet, composer, and lyricist, born in Rio de Janeiro on January 10, 1949. He emerged in the 1970s as part of Nuvem Cigana, an innovative artistic collective that brought together poets, musicians, and visual artists. Over his prolific career, he has published hundreds of compositions, becoming a vital figure in the shaping of Brazilian pop-rock during the 1980s.

Vilhena achieved widespread recognition through notable partnerships with iconic artists of the Brazilian music scene. He co-wrote major hits such as "Menina Veneno" with Ritchie and penned lyrics for several of Lobão's most celebrated tracks, including "Vida Bandida" and "Vida Louca Vida," the latter of which was also famously recorded by Cazuza. His work has further intersected with esteemed musicians like Lulu Santos, Cláudio Zoli, and Evandro Mesquita of the band Blitz.
