Biography

Beth Goulart, artistic name of Elizabeth Miessa, was born in Rio de Janeiro on January 25, 1961. Although she is widely recognized for her brilliant career as an actress, director, and playwright in theater and television, she also ventured prominently into Brazilian music, studying singing with Pepê Castro Neves and participating in the MPB Shell festival in 1981 with the song "O Balão", composed by Nando Carneiro and Geraldo Carneiro.

Throughout her musical trajectory in the 1980s, Beth released important works through PolyGram and the Carmo record label, including the 7-inch single for "O Balão", the album Sementes no Ar in 1981, the LP Passional in 1982, and the record Mantra Brasil in 1985. Her artistic versatility united her classical training as a ballet dancer and her studies in lyric singing with a unique sensitivity for interpretation and composition.

Born into a renowned family of artists that includes her parents Nicette Bruno and Paulo Goulart, Beth consolidated her name in national culture, transitioning with mastery between the stages, telenovelas, and discography.
