Biography

Bhaskar Achkar Peres Petrillo, known simply as Bhaskar, is a Brazilian DJ and electronic music producer born in Goiânia on August 26, 1991. Growing up in a family deeply immersed in the electronic music scene—as the son of renowned DJs Ekanta Jake Peres and Juarez Achkar Petrillo (Swarup)—he was exposed to psytrance and festival culture from an early age, alongside his twin brother Alok. During his childhood and adolescence, he lived in various places including Brasília, Amsterdam, and Alto Paraíso de Goiás, constantly accompanying his parents to music events and studios.

At the age of ten, Bhaskar began experimenting with music alongside his brother, eventually learning how to mix with the help of family friends and producing electronic tracks using software like Logic Pro. In 2004, he and Alok formed the live psytrance project Lógica, performing at major festivals such as Psycholand and Universo Paralello, and later touring internationally across numerous countries. As they grew older, both brothers expanded their musical horizons into different subgenres of electronic dance music.

In 2016, Bhaskar launched his solo career with a distinct focus on techno and house music, releasing collaborative singles and remixes that gained widespread recognition in the Brazilian electronic scene. He has collaborated with notable artists such as Sevenn, Vinne, and his twin brother Alok, releasing tracks through prominent labels like Spinnin' Records. His work continues to shape the contemporary electronic music landscape in Brazil, bridging his psychedelic roots with modern dance music trends.
