Biography

Beatriz de Oliveira Arantes, better known as Bia Arantes, is a Brazilian artist born in Piumhi and raised in São Sebastião do Paraíso, Minas Gerais. Although she has mainly consolidated her career in acting, her trajectory is marked by a strong connection with the universe of performance and Brazilian music. She began her artistic training in classical ballet in her childhood, which gave her a rhythmic and bodily foundation that would later be applied to her various works on stage and screen.

Bia's insertion into the musical and audiovisual scene includes significant collaborations, such as acting in the music video for the song "Pensando em Você" by Rafael Barreto, and her participation in the cinematic project "Anjos de Cabelos Longos" by the sertanejo duo Fernando e Sorocaba. Her artistic versatility was widely demonstrated when she starred in the play "Léo e Bia", written and directed by the renowned musician Oswaldo Montenegro, a work that is a landmark of Brazilian musical and poetic theater. In addition, the artist joined the cast of the film directed by Selton Mello, "O Filme da Minha Vida", and demonstrated her performance ability by reaching the semifinals of the "Dança dos Famosos" segment.

In the universe of television drama, Bia Arantes gained notoriety in productions that often involve striking soundtracks, such as the remake of "Carinha de Anjo", in which she played the protagonist Sister Cecília. Her career exemplifies the fluid transit of Brazilian artists between dramatic interpretation and productions with a strong musical and aesthetic appeal.
