Biography
Bloco Bleque is a Brazilian musical group formed in 2007, originating from Vitória, Espírito Santo. The band stands out for its eclectic sound, which moves through various rhythms such as forró, samba, northeastern rhythms, rock, hip-hop, and reggae, blending samba school elements with Brazilian percussion. This fusion results in an original and self-authored repertoire that has already won over audiences both in Brazil and abroad.
Since its formation, Bloco Bleque has a trajectory that includes collaborations with renowned Brazilian music artists such as Marcelo D2, Gabriel O Pensador, Buchecha, Cláudio Zoli, and Moraes Moreira, among others. In 2010 and 2011, the group undertook international tours in Europe, including performances at festivals such as the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and the Samba Festival in Coburg, Germany. One of their most notable collaborations was with Gabriel O Pensador on the song "Só tem Jogador", which was part of the soundtrack for the FIFA 12 video game.
The band is composed of talented musicians, including Gustavo Macaco (guitar and vocals), Alexandre Lima (vocals and guitar), Juana Zanchetta (vocals), and Mestre Genivaldo (drum and percussion director). Bloco Bleque released their first EP in 2019, titled "Bloco Bleque", featuring original songs and the marchinha "Canibal Bandeiras", which humorously addresses social and historical issues relevant to Brazil and Espírito Santo.
