Bolinha was a Brazilian singer and songwriter who stood out in the country's popular music scene, especially in the 1950s and 1960s. His career began in the 1950s when he joined Trio Mineiro, with whom he recorded several albums and contributed to the dissemination of Brazilian rhythms.

One of his biggest hits was the bolero "Boneca Cobiçada", composed in partnership with Biá. The song was recorded by the duo Palmeira and Biá in 1956 and became a huge success, being one of the most re-recorded songs in Brazilian popular music. Bolinha also collaborated with other artists, such as Cascatinha, for whom he composed the song "Tropeiro Gaúcho".
