Biography

Bom Gosto is a Brazilian pagode and samba musical group formed in 1997 in the neighborhood of Vila Valqueire, located in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. Originally started as a casual gathering of friends and family playing in the suburbs, the band features founding members Fábio Beça, Flávio Regis, André Neguinho, Fernando Macaé, and Mug Aragão. Over the years, the group became a prominent fixture in the contemporary samba scene, building a fiercely loyal fanbase through independent event promotion and grassroots dedication.

The group gained significant momentum after being mentored by the legendary samba ensemble Fundo de Quintal. In 2007, Bom Gosto released their debut live album, which spawned numerous radio hits including "A Amizade" and "Camará." They followed this success with several high-profile DVD recordings, such as Roda de Samba do Grupo Bom Gosto and Subúrbio Bom, collaborating with esteemed artists like Alexandre Pires, Arlindo Cruz, Jorge Aragão, and Thiaguinho.

Throughout their extensive career, the members of Bom Gosto have maintained their authentic connection to the cultural roots of Rio de Janeiro's suburbs. Despite lineup changes over the decades, the ensemble continues to perform energetic shows and record vibrant pagode music that celebrates camaraderie, love, and the everyday realities of Brazilian life.
