Biography

Brunê, artistic name of Bruna Brasil Santos, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and music producer originally from Brasília and raised in Goiânia. Standing out in the national independent music scene, the artist began her journey at age 17 and built a sound that blends elements of folk, pop, and nova MPB, using ornamented vocal techniques such as yodel and kulning. Throughout her career, she has performed at major festivals and events in the country, such as Goiânia Noise, Vaca Amarela, SIM São Paulo, and Sofar Sounds Global, sharing stages with names like Mahmundi, Josyara, and Castello Branco.

During the isolation period of the COVID-19 pandemic, Brunê released her debut single, "Nada é eterno", which was awarded by Festival Juriti, joined Spotify's Indie Brasil editorial playlist, and gained prominence in specialized media. Her discography also highlights the album "Brunê Ao Vivo No Estúdio", released in 2021, which brought unreleased compositions in both Portuguese and Esperanto, a language that marked her first steps in music. Her creative versatility continued to expand in collaborative works, such as the EP "Love Songs Vol.1", produced in partnership with Bruna Mendez and Devito Cxrleone.

In her recent trajectory, Brunê has continued to explore new sounds and themes through singles like "Guria", "Malmequer" — the latter in collaboration with Raíssa Spada — and "eu tenho medo", a track that preceded the release of her debut album titled "Fissura // Cicatriz". In addition to her solo work and in the artistic collective 3TANAJURAS alongside her siblings, the artist is recognized for her representation as an LGBTQIAPN+ woman and person with a disability, sensitively addressing issues of accessibility, the environment, and contemporary experiences in her work.
