Biography

Bruninho & Davi is a Brazilian sertanejo universitário duo formed in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, by childhood friends Bruno Alessandro da Silva Cerri and Davi Garcia de Ávila Filho. Before establishing their country music partnership, the duo played in a teenage rock band named Vega, where Bruninho played keyboards and Davi played guitar. They officially united as a musical duo in 2009 during Bruninho's birthday party, subsequently releasing their debut track "Zona Sul".

The duo achieved wider recognition in 2010 after releasing the music video for "Vamo Mexê" featuring Michel Teló, which propelled them to the finals of the television segment Garagem do Faustão on Domingão do Faustão. Their popularity surged further with the 2012 release of "Se Namorar Fosse Bom", a massive national success that cemented their place in the contemporary sertanejo scene. Throughout their career, they have collaborated with notable Brazilian artists such as Jorge & Mateus and Luan Santana, expanding their reach through major live albums and digital web series.

Signing with Sony Music in 2014, Bruninho & Davi released their first live album, Ao Vivo em Campo Grande, produced by Dudu Borges. They have since put out several acclaimed records, including Ao Vivo no Ibirapuera and Quase Ontem, while maintaining a strong presence on YouTube with creative web series and viral music videos. Their modern approach to sertanejo has established them as prominent figures in the genre alongside peers from Mato Grosso do Sul and across Brazil.
