Biography
Caboré, born in the Lins de Vasconcelos neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, is a Brazilian singer and songwriter.
He began his musical journey in the 1970s, joining the Composers' Wing of the Acadêmicos de Miguel Couto Carnival Group in Nova Iguaçu. Later, in 1973, he became part of the Composers' Wing of the Leão de Nova Iguaçu Carnival Group, where he collaborated on several samba-enredo songs. In 1976, he joined the Composers' Wing of the Grêmio Recreativo e Escola de Samba Beija Flor de Nilópolis, composing samba-enredo with José Carlos Delfim. Caboré's work also includes the song "Conselho" (with JC Delfim), featured on a samba compilation produced by Norival Reis and Zé Cabana for RCA Victor.
Beyond his work in samba, Caboré also had a career as a welder before dedicating himself fully to music. By 2014, he had amassed around 160 compositions, many of which remained unreleased. His nickname "Caboré" was given to him by a plantation owner, referencing a bird from northeastern Brazil.
