His scholarly work includes notable publications on legendary figures of Brazilian music like Ernesto Nazareth and Tom Jobim.
His recording career as a solo artist began with the critically acclaimed 2013 album Eslavosamba, which explored innovative approaches to samba. In 2018, he released his second album, Sibilina, featuring artistic collaborations with figures such as Romulo Fróes and Alessandra Leão. The album received wide acclaim, being named among the top Brazilian releases of the year by the São Paulo Association of Art Critics.
