Biography

Cadão Volpato is a prominent Brazilian journalist, musician, writer, illustrator, and television host born in São Paulo. Throughout his multifaceted career, he has made significant contributions to Brazilian culture, notably as the frontman and lyricist of the cult post-punk band Fellini, which he co-founded in 1984 alongside Thomas Pappon. His musical output also includes the band Funziona Senza Vapore and solo recordings, with his compositions being interpreted by renowned artists such as Chico Science, Céu, DJ Dolores, and Stela Campos.

In addition to his musical endeavors, Volpato has built a distinguished career in journalism and literature. He studied at USP and worked as an editor, critic, and writer for several major Brazilian publications, including Folha de S. Paulo, O Estado de S. Paulo, Veja, and Época. As an author, he has published acclaimed fiction and children's literature, while also appearing on television as a host for cultural programs like Metrópolis on TV Cultura.
