At 31 years old, he has already established himself as a sought-after composer, with his works being recorded by prominent artists such as Anitta, Ludmilla, Seu Jorge, and Ferrugem. Califfa's musical journey began at a young age, influenced by his father who gifted him a cavaquinho at five years old. He honed his skills playing various instruments, including guitar, cavaquinho, banjo, percussion, guitar, and drums.

His career took a significant turn when he worked as a roadie for the renowned samba artist Arlindo Cruz. Cruz recognized Califfa's talent and encouraged him to pursue a career as a singer.
