The group "Cantoras do Rádio" was formed in 1987, bringing together veterans of the golden age of Brazilian radio. The idea came from actor Érico de Freitas, who suggested the name for the ensemble's first show, conceived as a 1950s auditorium program. Throughout its trajectory, the group had various lineups, but always maintained the essence of paying homage to the great voices that marked an era.

The "Cantoras do Rádio" recorded two albums, featuring individual hits by their members and songs by other divas of Brazilian popular music. The repertoire included names such as Nora Ney, Carmem Miranda, Dolores Duran, Dalva de Oliveira, Elizeth Cardoso, Dircinha Batista, Isaurinha Garcia, Aracy de Almeida, Linda Batista, and Aurora Miranda. The group performed in theaters and music venues all over Brazil, highlighting the shows "Estão voltando as flores" and "Sim, estão voltando as flores".

Among the members who passed through the group, Ademilde Fonseca, Carmélia Alves, Ellen de Lima, Violeta Cavalcanti, Nora Ney, Rosita Gonzales, and Zezé Gonzaga stand out.
