Biography

The group Cantores de Deus emerged in 1997, conceived by Father Zezinho, SCJ, with the purpose of accompanying him on his travels and missions, bringing together singers committed to the Catholic faith. The original lineup featured Luan, Vanessa, Suely Ferreira, Dalva Tenório, and Karla Fioravante, and with them the first albums were recorded, such as "Em verso e em canção" (1997) and "Iguais" (2000).

Over the years, the group underwent several restructurings. In 2003, Luan and Vanessa moved to the United States, and Robson Jr. and Andréia Zanardi joined the lineup. Following the passing of Robson Jr. in 2006, the group continued with Karla Fioravante, Dalva Tenório, and Andréia Zanardi, who make up the current trio. This journey, marked by changes and the continuation of the mission, resulted in nine CDs, one EP, and a live DVD, in addition to performances in several countries.

Cantores de Deus stand out for their evangelizing music, with songs that address themes of faith, love, and hope. The group participated in important events, such as the visit of Pope Benedict XVI to Brazil in 2007 and World Youth Day in 2011 and 2013, alongside Popes Benedict XVI and Francis, respectively. Their work has been recognized with nominations and awards, consolidating them as one of the leading names in Catholic music in Latin America.
