Biography

Capital Inicial is a Brazilian rock band formed in 1982 in the city of Brasília. The band emerged from the ashes of Aborto Elétrico, a group that also launched Renato Russo, founder of Legião Urbana. Brothers Fê Lemos (drums) and Flávio Lemos (bass), along with guitarist Loro Jones and vocalist Dinho Ouro Preto, formed Capital Inicial, maintaining a sound influenced by post-punk and new wave.

Throughout its career, Capital Inicial has released several successful albums, such as "Capital Inicial" (1986), "Independência" (1987), and "Acústico MTV: Capital Inicial" (2000), which marked a new phase for the band and sold over one million copies. With hits like "Primeiros Erros (Chove)", "À Sua Maneira", "Natasha", and "Música Urbana", the band established itself as one of the biggest names in national rock, influencing generations and maintaining a solid fanbase. The current lineup features Dinho Ouro Preto on vocals, Fê Lemos on drums, Flávio Lemos on bass, and Yves Passarell on guitar.
