Biography

Carla Gomes began her musical journey at the age of twelve, joining a choir. Years later, her definitive entry into music came through a five-year partnership with musician Hamberci W. dos Santos, known as Berci, who invited her to sing at his nighttime performances. This experience marked the beginning of her professional career in the Minas Gerais music scene.

Between 2005 and 2010, Carla Gomes produced two EPs that earned her recognition in Minas Gerais. Her participation in important festivals such as the Alvinópolis Song Festival and Festur, in Turmalina, consolidated her presence in the state's music scene. In 2014, she released her debut album, "O tempo sou eu", produced by Liminha and featuring guest appearances by artists such as the band Cidade Negra and percussionist Marcos Suzano. This work demonstrated her versatility by moving through various musical styles.

In 2015, Carla Gomes was nominated for the 26th Brazilian Music Award in the best singer category, sharing the nomination with names like Fernanda Takai and Roberta Miranda. In 2022, she announced a change in her stage name to Carla Muzag, releasing the single "Chuva fina" in partnership with Portuguese musician Daxuva. In addition to being a singer and songwriter, Carla Gomes also works as an actress, participating in musical shows.
