Carlinhos Cor das Águas is a singer-songwriter from Bahia, born in Salvador. His stage name, "Cor das Águas," was adopted because of his first band. He gained prominence by winning the Festival Canta Nordeste, promoted by Rede Globo, with his song "Gueixa," which surpassed over five thousand entries. His work is described as "cor das águas," evoking the richness and diversity of Brazilian music.

Throughout his career, Carlinhos Cor das Águas has released CDs such as "Carlinhos Cor das Águas" and "Aldeia," the latter from 2001, which includes tracks like "Cantiga do Sapo" and "Tempo Interno."
