Carlos Caetano is a Brazilian sambista, singer, and songwriter renowned for his prolific contributions to samba music. Born in the suburbs of Rio de Janeiro and raised in the Quitungo community of Brás de Pina, Caetano's musical journey began in 1984/1985 as a percussionist in the group "Nossas Raízes." His talent as a composer was recognized early on when his song "O samba vai esquentar" was recorded by the renowned group Fundo de Quintal in 1994, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Caetano has since penned numerous hits for a variety of popular Brazilian artists. His compositions have been recorded by luminaries such as Beth Carvalho ("Água de Chuva no mar"), Péricles ("Se eu Largar o Freio"), Revelação ("Deixa Acontecer"), and Mumuzinho ("Te Amo"), among many others.
